Original artwork

Landseegarten is an intimate homage to the vibrant garden of my future in-laws. Rather than depicting the place directly, the painting translates its dense interaction of plants, animals and human presence into an abstract visual language.

Layers of colour, gestural marks and subtle contrasts evoke foliage, light and hidden paths without fixing them into illustrative forms. Thin glazes open spatial depth, while more tactile gestures create a sense of movement and natural vitality.

Hints of leaves, blossoms, birds or insects appear only as fleeting impulses within the composition. Warm yellows meet cooler greens and blues, creating a rhythmic balance between energy and calm. The square format gathers these impressions into a concentrated visual field, inviting viewers to experience the garden not as a location, but as a moment of sensory presence.
